London

Although there is evidence of scattered Brythonic settlements in the area, the first major settlement was founded by the Romans in 43 AD. This lasted for just seventeen years and around 61, the Iceni tribe led by Queen Boudica stormed it, burning it to the ground. The next, heavily planned incarnation of the city prospered and superseded Colchester as the capital of the Roman province of Britannia in 100. At its height during the 2nd century, Roman London had a population of around 60,000. By the 7th century, the Anglo-Saxons had created a new settlement called Lundenwic over a mile (2 km) upstream from the old Roman city, around what is now Covent Garden.

London

The etymology of London is uncertain.It is an ancient name and can be found in sources from the 2nd century. It is recorded c. 121 as Londinium, which points to Romano-British origin.The earliest attempted explanation, now disregarded, is attributed to Geoffrey of Monmouth in Historia Regum Britanniae.This had it that the name originated from a supposed King Lud, who had allegedly taken over the city and named it Kaerlud.

My hobby

Everyone has also some hobbies to do in his or her free time;they are reading, listening to music, fishing, swimming, walking,watching,…And I do not except. To entertain and relax, I often do one of them, especially reading.
When I was young, I was very glad to be told about fairy tales by my family.Then, when I went to school and could read, I began to find good books to read myself. Maybe,since then reading has been a part of my life very naturally.
Reading is very useful for everybody. It helps me widen my knowledge, understand the value of life, learn the way of better behaviour, and so on.
Reading is not only through books, but also through newspapers, magazines or internet-a modern equipment; however, I like reading books most. There are many kinds of book such as novel, comic, science,…Each of books helps me improve different knowledge and it is important to help me relax very much.
I think reading is a good hobby, so it should be one of your hobbies.

My university

I love English! I always want to become a person who is good at English and try my best to study it well. When I was in grade12 , I dreamed of learning English more at one of universities in our country; however, there are too many universities having faculty of foreign languages for me to chose. Then, thanks to my brother’s advice- a student learning at University of Technical Education, I decided to take an examination to his school. I made efforts to pass the exam and I succeeded. In common with the feeling of happiness is my worry. I didn’t know anything about my new school. I wonder how I could get over difficulties when I was away from home.

As I came to the university,. my brother took me to some places in it. I was really excited about its bulkness and beauty.Everything is strange and new. “I ‘ll start a new life here ,won’t I?”, I asked myself. At first, I made the acquaintance with new school, new class, new friends, and especially new life. The most interesting thing is I could learn my favorite subject. But my speaking and listening skills were not good, so I felt very difficult to understand the English lectures. I was very nervous; nevertheless, my teacher had many good ways to help me improve these skills such as teamwork, discussions and writings using English. It was very useful. Now , I have studied in this school for 3 months, I can accustom myself to new environment.

I think this university is suitable for me and believe that my dream will come true.

Friendship

In my opinion, friendship is very important in our life,and finding a true friend is very difficult because a true friend is your very special friend who can share everything such as happiness, sorrow, secret… when we have more and more friends, we feel happily and warmly. It helps us realize that we are not alone, and our life is still wonderful. We can share many things and receive many things ;however, many people say the more friends you have, the more troubles you get. It can be right, because, they think that they are involed in many problems such as argument with reason simples, and they feel wasting times for them.
Nowadays, there are many ways to make friends and friend through in the internet or pen-friend is a special way. We can exchange knowledge and chat each other without being shy.
Friendship now is different from ago. In the time of market economy, we need more relatinonship and position in society, sometimes we are not concern with a real friendship,but we also can believe that the friendship like the friendship of “luu binh, duong le” still exist in our society. Friends is a special presenting to offer all those who respect it;therefore,we need to have right attitude to keep it lasting.
From things I show you here;indeed,I only want you understand that friendship is relationship between friends.let’s make your friendship develop.

My family

Do you know a definition of family exactly? I don’t know but I think family is a thing or something that is very sacred and valuable. And family is a place that we can share joys, sadnesses and emotions.

Maybe, each of us almost has an own family. So do I. I have a happy family(1) which there are 5 people in. My parents, 2 elder brother and me. My parent are gentle workers. My brothers and I are studying(3) at university. So, my parent must work hard to earn money(6) for us to follow at HCM city. Our studying(5) is the most important towards them(2).So, we always try to learn best.

My family used to have meals with all member, we gathered together around dinner table(2), enjoyed dishes my mother cooked and shared all thing… However from when my brother and I went to HCM city to study(6), my family hasn’t had(3) meals like that. Being in exile(4),I really understand how family is important .I miss my family so much,especially my parent.

It’s time I just want to go home immediately and enjoy feeling of family so much.We love our family so much.

Who do you want become in the future?

Hi,everybody!Have you ever had a dream?
I’m sure that everyone has dreamed of a person whom you ‘ll become in the future.And I have ,too.I had dreamed, although, I now know that when I started going to schooI’ll have 2 ways to choose in the future.
First, I can become a English teacher (5).It is a sacred occupation(5).Being a teacher I can bring for my student useful knowledge ,teach them goods thing(2)…specially,I can have feeling of happiness when I see them laugh.
Second,I can become a technical transletor.I can work in many companies.I t is an interesting occupation that I think it is suitable for me.I can be confident in vest suit to go to work effectively.
In the future,maybe I ‘ll choose 1 in 2 professions but I’ll make efforts to be a good employee with my selection.It is necessary that I should become a person have a kind heart and a deep understanding everyone.
I hope I’ll do best.
